I'm not so sure. You'll never know if you made the right decision until you pull the parking brake for the last time when you retire.
From 97-01, I'm sure you would have said United was the right decision
From 02-07, I'm sure you would have said Southwest was the place to go
From 08-10, I'm sure you would have said Delta was the place to go
Based upon what we are seeing, i'm thinking around 2011, you might come full circle to think that United is really the right choice.
Truth is, you can't just judge your decision based upon the present. The only constant in this industry is change, and right now, things look like they are changing for the better at United. I think you'll look back when you retire and be happy with your choice.
