Speaking as a biased (spouse SWA pilot) yet interested onlooker, Cap'nCarl, I agree with you on many issues on the various threads, but on this one I think I beg to differ, it comes down to different companies with different missions,and different cultures, but I remember on 9/12/2001 when all the other airlines were busy writing the furlough lists,SWA management put out a statement that they were a family and would ride through this tragedy together,not even a ramper was furloughed,yes you have to have the type to join that club,but it is a club worth joining,and I hope post merger that tribal culture stays intact. They have each others backs,you don't see that industry wise. My .02 centavos.
