Almost 50% of the pilots are Captains. Most (not intended to insult anybody but it is a known fact at skywest) think only about themselves and voted Yes as the package was very favorable for them comparing with the rest. The FOs that voted Yes do not understand what we woted about and believes that it was about money from the company.
The vote was not about that. It was about how the money was divided in the package.

Almost 50% are FOs most are CRJ FOs, most of them felt insulted and voted no because they understand that it is not a matter of asking for more money but about how to divide the money available in the package. That plus a couple of % Captains that felt that it was not a fair package against the CRJ FOs and Voted no. That is probably why the No vote won.
