Are we trying to reestablish the good working relationship with the company the same way we did last time?

Negotiate us a new contract and do not be swayed by the smoke screen!!!

The company wants this, well I want a new contract now not in two years!!

If they really want this then step up the pace and get the contract done by December. That works for me.
