I heard from one attendee that Rice recently was recently discussing the possibility of a looming pilot shortage (I think it was at a BOD meeting). His concern was that we should take steps to help mitigate it.

I do not know the man, but, I've heard his speeches and it amazes me how folks are (deliberately IMHO) misunderstanding him. What he says is that he has a son who just started for American Eagle. He is proud that his son is the third generation of ALPA member and that he worries about his son's future.
THREATS include cabotage, scope and age 70.
Politicians can and do say about anything. But amongst the speeches I've heard, Rice's talk is by far the most cogent. If "our" candidate, Lee Moak has said anything, can someone post a link? I'd like to hear his campaign speech. I'd like to not count him out until we've at least heard from him.
