For airlines turbine time (even SIC) is always better, unless you are REALLY short on total PIC. Once you have 1000 hours PIC (in anything) turbine time is the way to go.

Not for airlines. DAL, CAL, Jet Blue, etc will all hire some applicants with 1000 hours turbine SIC but NOBODY hires caravan pilots for major airline jobs (unles they have other relevant experience).

Major airlines only accept single-engine TPIC because F-16's and AV8-B's (and F-35s) have one engine. They do not really extend that courtesy to single t-prop pilots.
