Slap,
I voted for ALPA. I also voted for this pay package. I didn't think the package was good at all. It wasn't even ok. I was going to vote no, but my plan was YES/YES. Yes to this pay package, then yes to the alpa drive. Might as well start from a higher place to begin negotiations. This is my first airline. I knew SkyWest wasn't union. That was no factor at all. They were the only regional with a base in the city I live in. Leave to another regional? Why? It doesn't kill me that we aren't unionized, but I would like it to be. The new ntsb rules aren't unethical. They are the standard way that every type of election in the United States is held. If you are wondering why people want a union, ask yourself one question: Does management have your best interests at heart? If you can honestly answer that question, YES, than we don't need a union. If you answer that question yes, than you are also severely delusional.
Slap, you suggested that those of us that want a union, should go to a union carrier. My question to you is if we vote in a union, are you going to follow your advice and go to another non-union carrier? I mean, Ameriflight is hiring.
