You aren't an active line pilot are you?

So Under your scenario what happens after 5 years when MGT makes some bad financial decisions which requires a furlough?
The seniority system Commits the Pilot to the Company. If I could leave Company A after 5 Years and go to Company B and make the same $$ without a PAY or QOL cut, you would see Pilots jumping ship. In other words there would be no loyalty whatsoever. Of course the way many Airline MGTs have dealt with their employees, not just Pilots, Loyalty has gone the way of the Dinsoaur.
