The study you quote compares age of death between airline pilots (and only one specific airline at that) who retired at age 60, to the general population of white males who retired at age 60. That's not the issue at hand. The question at hand is an age of death comparison between pilots who retire at 60 vs pilots who retire later (i.e. age 65).

A more pertinent study for THIS board would be a age of death vs retirement age study of pilots whose career has them flying back-side-of-the-clock and whipsawed circadian rhythms. AA ain't that airline, and the FSF study ain't that study.
