A friend of mine was on an Alaska transcon to Florida. At the gate, his little boy waved at an elderly man, who waved back. While over Idaho, the elderly man died quietly in his seat. His wife called the crew and they tried to revive him, but nothing. They left him in his seat and covered his body with a blanket. Several hours later, an announcement was made that they were landing in Tulsa to offload the body. The plane went on to Florida without further incident.
