We should be negotiating from a position of strength. It is NOT our problem what the company thinks they are going to have to offer the other groups. If the other groups want more say in how big their slice of the pie is, then they are free to organize. This should NOT be our problem, but we've let the camels nose under the tent, and now others are used to riding on our coat tails.
Secondly, agree on the profit sharing. Too many ways to make funny with the numbers.
Last, money is cheap. Cheap cheap cheap. Throwing bucks at pilots is the time honored method of squelching the loudest complainers.
BUT, consider when pilots, in the course of their career, get the biggest percentage pay raise: Upgrade. And what impacts that most? The number of aircraft on the property. Scope rules all, and THAT is why it's expensive.
