Well I had one tell us that we can input the numbers at the gate. Of course we waited to do the performance check until after the after start checklist.
Just flew with a LCA and the above is exactly how he said we were required to do it. I also heard (different LCA in van) that after a few months they would loosen up on the requirement to be parked while doing the performance checklist. Not sure if this was just his opinion or actually based on something official.
