It was breaking news last week when that 747 in an air show on a pre determined route approved by the FAA was "too close" to the golden gate bridge. It was just awesome watching them "analyze" the video of said 747.

I also think CNN had someone say it may have been carb ice that caused the buffalo crash.

FOX news has hotter hosts anyway.
I was at the airport watching TV when Sully landed on the Hudson. On one news channel, I think FOX, within a half hour of the accident the reporter asked their in-house "Aviation Expert" why an airliner would be flying that low. The expert, who had proudly told the reporter how he was a private pilot, explained that more than likely the US Air jet had just taken off from LGA and needed to remain clear of the Bravo airspace, so he was probably skirting under one of the shelves.
