CAL pilots are our brothers and most of us UAL furloughees look at the big picture. That would be SCOPE...get the 70+ seat flying back.

Cannot the new UAL operate as is today? Has any of the UAL or CAL operating certificates been turned in to the FAA? If not , then cannot the new UAL Holding corporation operate both certificates simultaneously as they are now and the CAL flying just transfered over to the other division operated by old UAL where the scope provisions are more lax to CAL's?
Want to bet that this is the plan unless mgt gets what it wants. What would CAL pilots do, go on strike, call in sick, there are what about 1400 UAL pilots furloughed still which would be recalled back with all the new UAL/old and gone CAL flying moved to UAL. That is the real world that ALPA has made for the regional pilots, now it will play out in mainlines. Get the popcorn ready.
can't afford free popcorn.....this will have to do for now.
