You are completely correct. I think most of us double-furloughees feel so beaten down by management and forgotten by ALPA that we have just walked away as the future feels hopeless.
I can tell you one thing, and I hope I speak for most of my double-furloughed brethren, if we, the 2172/1450 ever get together in the same cause, we will be galvanized. After all that we have been through I feel about as close to any of these individuals as I would a squadron buddy in any deployment. It is an unwanted status, but one which when you meet another, you can't help but drink heavily, vent and feel better after spending time around somebody else who truly understands what kind of career "hell" we have/are going through. I don't think any of us will ever forget all that has happened.
