Cruz I have argued with many about Aviation Degrees and all I can say now is I told them so.
Yes Piedmont is one airline taking Aviation Degree preference, but im willing to bank on the fact that more and more Regionals are going to be doing the same. My personal opinion on why this is being done is that the FAA has really been cracking down on regional airlines and their ops. I mean look at their qualifications- 1500hrs TT, 200 Multi, Aviation Degree preference, and those employed in a multi engine position have preference. Those requirements show me that regionals are looking at their new hire's liability. With all the regional accidents in the past 5-10 years caused as pilot error i dont blame them at all.
