If you so say so. A more interesting study than taxi-speed might be to have a group of un-biased individuals (with a lot of time on their hands) read through several of these threads and come to their own conclusions.

Nothing is taboo. You've made your point. I've made my point, but I'll reiterate,
informal polling on an internet forum with copius amount of self-selection bias isn't going to convince me of anything. Especially when my own anectdotal evidence has shown the contrary. If you or anyone else see a negative safety trend, do the entire aviation community a favor and take steps to rectify it

Look, regarding this damned taxi thing. You have your impressions of the SWA operation, fine. I'm not so deluded to think anything I type is gonna change your mind. All I ask is for you to realize that a bunch of guys doing a forum-rant is a far cry from
proving a real trend. This type of data collection may make you
think there's a trend, but some true research is needed to
prove it.
I have my impression, maybe you think I'm a straight shooter, maybe not. All I can say is from numerous hours up-front in a SWA jet I have never seen anything to justify the image of us you promote. Do we taxi
too fast? No. Do we taxi fast? Yes. Do we taxi safely? Yes? Have I ever been on a flight with an ATC instruction intentionally disregarded? No.
BTW-I always like the old L-18, nothing against it whatsoever, unless of course you worked for free just to build hours
. Point is I don't make any assumptions about you based on your civilian background, so maybe don't make any about me based on my military background...except maybe that I do like guns and I do like killing the enemy, as in our nation's enemies...by the score if able. But I leave all that stuff "over there" and wear my hemp sandals with peace beads to work at SWA.
