I agree with the posters here, Airways needs a set standard for out/in times. When I was a counter drag/ramp rat at an "evil wholly owned" station (that once was part of the YV family), we worked MidAtlantic flights where the out time was recorded by ACARS when all the doors (pax/cargo) were closed and locked. When MDA was kicked to the curb & replaced by Republic, the nosewheel had to move like 3 feet (or is it 6?) for an "out" time to be produced. Our station stats went to the crapper when that happened, as its a good 5 minutes from the time the door closes to when the plane actually moves (I blame most of it on ATC though)....
