However he was also on crew news saying how much better life would be if Mesa would just close the doors. Now he is giving them millions to help them out. He said the 190 sales to RAH was just a rumor, one month before the RAH took possession of the 10th UASirways 190. Only time will tell what happens. I wouldn't be surprised if Parker bought Mesa and filled all the openings at mainline with Mesa pilots. (I hope I was kidding).
Nobody wants wholly owned regionals anymore. Every major is trying (overtly or covertly) to unload them.

Just like buying up all of your feed connection carriers was all the rage in the 1990's, divesting regionals is the flavor of the month now. Probably due to fear (rational or not) of another COMAIR strike scenario .

Their only practical use these days is as a capacity buffer...if you need to cut feed, you can ax wholly-owned's on a whim, no pesky contracts to worry about.
