Ask the folks at United or USAir - retirement numbers don't always keep pace with the number of jobs being lost to regional carriers.
Sometimes sarcasim is painfully closer to the truth. I'm a living walking example. Two furloughs, one as a result of outsourcing 70 seaters in BK in order to save the A plan and the other as a result of permitting those who then just lost their A plan another 5 years to make up for their loss.
As a result, all retirement movement has been made void over the past 10 years due to outsourcing. Way to go.
