FWIW, Spirit hired somewhere around 150 pilots between Fall of 2006 through Spring of 2008. The net aircraft gain was negligible; the difference was efficiency of airframe use. It looks like that's how several of our new routes will be worked in, at least until May: night turns with aircraft that would sit idle otherwise.

I guess we should be expecting Throwthebumsout's resume any day now.
