Problem is it doesn't change a thing as far as jumpseat is concerned. No Skywesty sits on my aircraft after Jan 1st in and out of IAH.
A large majority of SKW pilots get it as well. On our internal forum there's a thread dedicated to it, but as with every airline there are a few who will jump at just about anything to improve their lives today without fully understanding what it might do to them tomorrow. The example I like to give my FO's is the shedding of flying that has taken place over that last decade. It may have benefited my life up till now but it has had a devastating effect on my/our career(s).
All flying should be done in-house, period. I wish you would accept the JSr and take the time to teach because denying him only adds justification (in his mind) to what he or she is doing. Besides, he was probably forced displace there anyway.
My 9 month old just woke up, good night and good luck!
