Yep, I agree completely. It's a Catch 22. Most people (like me) have to work at a regional to gain experience and become competitive to be hired at a mainline carrier. But by doing so, you're almost cutting your own throat because you're flying seats that at one time were flown by the mainline carriers.
Maybe with all of the looming retirements that will change.
