No, but because of the way things are set up, yes. The 23 year old should have 10 less years seniority at the SAME company on the SAME seniority list. But we all know that will never happen now. SO yes since that 23 year old is doing the same job flying the SAME passengers Yes he should have the same priority.
I don't have anywhere near as much a problem with a mainline employee boarding first as I do getting bumped for a mainline's kids (not traveling with the employee) or bumped by any retirees. That is what I find to be a pile of crap.
Explain to me why your 23 year old kid should board ahead of me when they are traveling on their own.
