For the Aviation Degree vs Anything-else debate, there are many threads on that.

Either way, an AA degree would make you more valuable than someone else with just a high school degree. It won't beat out someone with thousands of hours, but at an entry level place (regionals) it will be something to have on the Resume and it "checks the box." Some places want a BA, but others say an AA is okay (or even "Some" college credit).

You'll have to be more specific about "Avit 344." For all I know, Avit 344 could be private pilot remedial or MEI. Numbering is not universal across schools.
