If this NPRM passes and there is massive airline hiring, I hope Frontseat and Shaggy can get on with a real airline. One that respects them for their vast expertise and business acumen. Seriously though, if I felt as disrespected and violated as these guys do, I'd go to another company or career. Life is too short to be miserable.
I'm not saying they don't have valid points. I'm saying that in 6 years at UPS, I've been treated pretty well and am happy. The obvious exception being this furlough and the rejection of the MOU. I'd love to know UPS' thought process on that.
Ignorance is bliss I guess. If I were in your shoes I would feel the same way. Good pay. Good work rules. Good Union. Getting dumped in Anchorage, then selling everything you have because you can't afford to move it.....that is another story. I guess life is only a mirror of ourselves. Hopefully this lunacy will end soon.
Of course I would not want to be a manager during this peak. Don't expect to be home over Christmas or Thanksgiving. Enjoy the pay. Happy Holidays.
