The company (dispatcher) and the PIC are jointly responsible for the operation of the flight. You are there to assist the captain and as required by the FOM, Master Op Specs, and the FAR's, to notify the Captain of any issue that may preclude a save operation of the flight. As I understand this, that includes fatigue. Report it to the Captain, and it becomes his responsibility to then reports it and stop the op. It seems clear to me why it would be written this way.
Come on acl, the LIT crash is a great exp. do you think and feel that if most pilots here will tell a capt and CP on a legal extention to go pound sand? 15 hours is here to stay and us domestic ground pounders will still see 12.59 on their trips. IT IS STILL 13+2
Maybe you have forgotten your days at your former employer but I was there too, and I am sick and tired of a "13" hour day. I thought it was 13 hard core drop dead, but it isnt. and alpa and the gang can kiss my but cause none of them fly domestic crap like some of us.
go drive trucks if you dont like it. better pay and rest
