Why should I care if the public knows what I earn??? It's just more noise in the echo chamber and amounts to NOTHING. There is no PR battle to be waged, the battle is between the 'payer' and the 'payee'. There are other entities that may make a difference or affect the outcome, but the public isn't one of them. Outside of contract negotiations, I don't have to justify or explain my pay to anyone. Anyone who asks me how much I make gets the disrespectful answer they deserve.
