I will also agree, DPA is not a N v S issue, it is a DALPA issue and does not show favoritism to one pre merger group or the other. It is a symptom of horrible communication of the direction this association is going.
I know a ton of S FO's that have turned cards in, though most will never vote for DPA if it ever comes to a vote. They just want ALPA to actually respond to their concerns and the fact that, yes, they hear them and are carrying their water.
I see that happening and will continue to as we move forward.
I understand what you are saying but CAPA is in exactly the same postion and yet they manage to take their message to the powers that be in DC but also take the message to the court of public appeal.
The court of pubic appeal has proven to be the catalyst for getting things changed more than boardroom negotiations that last for years and decades. That is a fact. The Colgen crash and media attention, including guys like "Sulley", Skiles, CAPA and others have forced the issue for change. For some reason ALPA has fallen into a mind set you can only do one but not the other. A misguided approach along with their proposal as part of the ARC to raise flight time to reduce fatigue.
