Might be time to listen.
I agree with that sentiment. I am of the opinion that we are better of as DALPA than as DPA, but I FULLY recognize your concerns and see merit in some of the arguments.

I do however see that ALPA really has done A LOT behind the scenes to try and fix the problems out there.

In the DALPA arena, the major turnover of incumbents in almost every LEC elections portend that change is finally here. I want to give the "new dynamic" of the MEC the opportunity to address the issues of the dissatisfied members. If they have failed to hear the message and continue doing (or not doing as it relates to communication issues); I will then entertain the idea of an "alternate choice".

I'm not even remotely convinced that an alternate voice will produce any better results, but if the current structure won't seek improvement IN THE EYES OF MOST THE MEMBERSHIP, change may be needed.

Key point to ALL of this discussion:
The union leadership (whoever it is), MUST be able to differentiate between the sentiment of the almost always silent majority, versus an activist and "loud" minority who seeks to present itself as the representative voice of majority.
