I just finished the ALPA survey. It asked about if we think crewpass should be offered on a voluntary basis, where the pilot would pay the costs. Is crewpass available for personal travel as well as when you are working? Because that would make a big difference in my opinion. If its only for when I am working than I feel that I shouldn't be the one paying for it, but if I can use it for personal travel as well I would definitely pay for it until perhaps it was negotiated with my airline or the government started paying for it or whatever the outcome may be.
I'm pretty sure I've gone through the one in PIT out of uniform while traveling. You just need your crew ID and passport, and your airline must be in CASS.
