That makes perfect sense, but the crewpass in CAE won't let you through unless you're in uniform. I'm the same, background checked and screened guy, no matter what clothes I'm wearing.
I was disappointed, but not surprised, that the survey didn't offer an option of having ALPA pay for CrewPass. Really, I think the Govt and the Airlines should pay for it, but ALPA paying for it is a better option than me paying for it.
