Well, I interviewed with them. Went fairly well, haven't heard back yet though.
Other people were right on track when they spoke of kissing ass to upgrade. I asked them about upgrades, and they said seniority had little to do with it. It's all based on "merit". They also said that they have a minimal workforce, and don't keep a lot of people on reserve, so like if you need vacation or sick time, someone else has to arrange to cover for you.
Everything else seems ok, equipment, and pay and such. But I am hesitant to go to an operation where I will be kissing ass, and taking ****ty lines on my days off just to upgrade. There is something to be said for being unionized with a firm seniority list.
If they offer me this job, I'm going to have to do some serious sole searching. Any thoughts?
