They also said that they have a minimal workforce, and don't keep a lot of people on reserve, so like if you need vacation or sick time, someone else has to arrange to cover for you.

Everything else seems ok, equipment, and pay and such. But I am hesitant to go to an operation where I will be kissing ass, and taking ****ty lines on my days off just to upgrade. There is something to be said for being unionized with a firm seniority list.

If they offer me this job, I'm going to have to do some serious sole searching. Any thoughts?
Jet time is hands down better than buzzing the pattern in a single engine pistion.......but make the decision based on where you eventually what do go/do. Does giving up a good job to go to an job that might not exist in 6 months or never give you an upgrade really worth it? Or spend another year where you are and go to the "good regional" that has decent pay and a upgrade based on seniorty, whats the downside? That is a question you have to answer.

Make a list of the good/bad about both jobs and then make the decision. Some can be easier than others but really this will come down to what you want.
