No soap box, just my humble O.
All the technology in the world means nothing against a keen, watchful eye.
These full body imaging machines and lame-duck pat down procedures are nothing more than government waste on the world's most expensive discrimination prevention devices.
We need security that focus in on suspicious behaviors early on in the process, as opposed to using a cookie-cutter approach to every single person boarding on an airplane.
While I agree with your statement to an extent, we have become so concerned with our freedoms and liberties, at times, we are so fearful to react in any way that could be identified as discriminatory.
