I hope the IPA is contacting thier union reps (if they even have unions). And if they don't, well they are non-member scabs.
Everyone knows UPS has guys on the street, so no one should buy any excuse they make about not knowing it's BS. As for the rumor thier companies are putting out about the furloughees getting checks, it's just to trick the good guys at the company into flying the contracted work. Or, this guy you were talking to is a smooth operator.
Sorry man, not scabs. It is in or not in, however you want to look at our contract that contractors can be used during peak furlough or no furlough. I don't think it is right, but that is the way is it.
