Many Delta pilots will have AK pilots slotted in senior to them. Those AK pilots currently have no rights or ability to fly a widebody. A downside is that in the combined company, there will be a smaller percentage of widebodies so time to them will increase. The upside is that the company will become stronger and more economically stable. I would think most would trade widebody shrinkage for a healthier long term career company. It is just a plane afterall. One pay per seat makes a little more sense now.
