Here's something I was wondering about; recall the taxiway landing incident. The report I read said the crew knew, prior to pushback, that one of the 3 pilots was SICK! They flew the -more than 8 hr. leg- anyway....

So...? What would you do in the same circumstance?

Personally I -think- I might have said, "No, we're not flying over 8hrs, without rest breaks, all night long."

But my real question is, are we "legal" to go with only 2 healthy pilots when clearly 3 are required?

And another thing to think about..."What If" you departed with 3 healthy pilots but about 2 hours into the 10 hour flight, one of them (the one on first break) comes down with -something- and is now incapacitated in the crew rest seat? What do you do? Press on, 2 pilots, 10+ hrs. all night, no breaks, or divert?
