And now we find out that no pilot was displaced into IAH; all went enthusiastically.

In all honesty, I think that a SKW pilot on a CAL jumpseat is a potential distraction that degrades safety of flight. No prob if you ride in the back. But if I hear another SKW pilot state, "this is not new flying, it's just a trasnfer" on my jumpseat......... Know that it is very new flying to a CAL pilot. New flying that willfully abrogates our contract. New flying that SKW pilots do willingly and enthusiastically, as there were no displacements. Personally, I don't mind a SKW pilot on my jumpseat, as I am not in danger of immediate furlough. But
some guys will not be able to tolerate your short-sighted ambition. Happy IAH RJ flying, you'll be doing it for a LONG time.
I will agree that this is new flying. It is a clear violation of the spirit of your scope. If there was a transition agreement that things would stay status quo at both airlines then it is a violation of your contract and should be a slam dunk for your union.
But i will say that the minority here is excited about this flying, only 74 total pilots signed on for it out of 2800. There are pilots here who are going nowhere and don't care what happens to anyone else who is planning on moving on. But I would venture to guess that here are pilots at every airline who only care about themselves. I for one want nothing to do with this flying and would be content flying metros or brasilias for the chance to go to mainline. I personally am rooting for you guys because I don't want to be at a regional for the rest of my career, and I'm not alone with that sentiment. If you get a guy in th js bragging about this flying educate them. Good luck with stopping this flying and I say that sincerely.
