Just talked to my friend from Chautauqua yesterday and he mentioned that Mr. Bedford has been asked to open a EWR base for the 170's by Smisek. However, Bedford is waiting to see what our legal hearing at CAL says about the scope for rj's over 70 seats. I hope that the judge rules in favor of CAL and slams the door on the 70 seaters at CAL!

Where does it end? Next thing you know the regionals will start to try and fly 100 seat jets over at mainline!

Also, thanks to all of the Express Jet folks in EWR who have come up and asked questions as to what is going on. Most of you are in the know and don't want the bigger jets at Express because you know that you want to have a future job waiting for you at a mainline carrier.
