BTW, the coat-tails theory is only vaguely applicable. The main reason that we have never had a union is the company culture...they USED TO take care of people, in more ways than just compensation (and the compensation used to pretty good by industry standards). Of course that's all changing now.
This is the real reason SkyWest hasn't become a union. Of course chipaway has changed all that. As well, we've seen all the money we've made here get thrown into other airlines while our compensation has taken the hit.
SkyWest will again try to sell the koolaid and goodwill to try to beat a union drive, but I think that's all past us now. There are those who will drink it up but I feel most people have seen right through it.
