Serious question, what does that do for you or anyone that has already been hired?
During the first furlough I was one of the last guys on the street. Missed the cut by less than 200 peeps. I also missed most of the "better" jobs as those shown the door prior to me got them.
Using conservative estimates, that 20 month furlough cost me at least $120,000, along with untold aggravation and hassle.... (finding another job, going through training, IOE, commuting, hyper junior, non sked contract rules, crashpads, etc etc etc.)
During the second furlough I made the cut by less than 200 guys and I am still on the payroll.
The difference between guys behind you, and no guys behind you is staggering. I hope you never have to find this out from firsthand perspective.
