Both the 767 and 757 have a nose up moment on speedbrake deployment on touchdown. The reversers deploying help counter act that... the most critical I found was when the auto speedbrake was deferred and you have to make sure the other guy doesnt just yank it back. Things could get interesting quick then!

I did, it struck me as strange that if the speedbrakes are deferred your clearence becomes critical...you would think the design would be auto deployment and manual at the pilots request.
Can you deploy them manually? Used to do it on the Diesel 9.
