And all the ID tickets I used to get in a former life were all SA(Space Available) anyway...It worked back in the day, but the airlines are running much higher load factors these days with hub/spoke system so heavily in use at all the legacy carriers.

Why would you want to go SA nowadays? There are so many good deals available on the internets (!!) if you just do a little homework.

Anyway, C5nwhaleguy is correct...we do accumulate a lot of miles. And I have used frequent flier miles for my family for a long time.
