Another opinion about the FA union vote: I think that some of the south FAs may of liked the union, but felt that if the AFA was voted in, that the North FAs would run the show, and hog the leadership roles.
Anything the South FAs mightof wanted would get shot down. Also, I think that a lot of "good deals" that the South FAs like would be gone (junior FAs can bid Purser, make 20% more, no pure reserve schedules. Even junior FAs essentially have a line, with only 3 or 6 reserve days in it. I suspect that under the North rules, it would be more of a pilot reserve system. Very bad for the junior FAs.
