Default FDX/UPS Payscales

I am interested in the opinion of the FDX and/or UPS pilots regarding the simplified payscales IE: flat Capt/FO rates based on longevity, not aircraft and longevity.

This is a quote from another forum. Does this sound accurate?

"A borderline pilot- a guy whose choices are between reserve on bigger or line holder on smaller, will likely end up as reserve when the reserves senior to him bid on top of him. If he's a commuter, he's screwed. He and many others won't have the option to commute to a line holder. The point being, when the dust settles, on a Capt/FO only system, seniority flattens out. In those first many years of your career, you WILL be on reserve, period. You'll wait longer to find a safe haven. "

Thanks for your insight....
