Good to see we have some new people comming in around here..... As for CPT the best word of advice I can give (granted its been a long time since I was in initial) is to be familiar with the CA flows but dont spend too much time on them.... Mainly focus on the FO flows and know which EICAS message will be associated with each step / procedure....( for example engine start looking for a green ignition advisory message and a white eng start status msg.) Also look into the CFM and know which items are a madatory landing at nearest suitable (ie. being down to one electrical source IDG, APU GEN) ect. Also know the memory items and limitations cold..... But if you do those two things you should have no problems.... Also try not to laugh too hard when the instructor tells you to "remember to ding the FA before landing"......
