I found flight to Sun Paulo to be easy, just pick your way through the thunderstorms in the ITCZ and it's easy.

Bar do Juarrez... (pronounce the J as a J not a W) is much better than the churrascarrias... and you like sweet stuff dontcha... Guarana Antarctica? Caipirinhas are great.. but not on top of beer.. and Wednesday and Saturday are Feijoada day. (I'll let you look that up for yourself)... But, if you are senior, the trip is a double all nighter, and it beats the hell out of you, so you might want to consider something else....
