The great thing about PSA is their bases - you can actually afford to buy a home in domicile as a second year FO. If you buy in CLT, and do some research, you'll probably make $30k-$50k in 1-2 years as the homes appreciate in value due to all the snowbirds moving down from the NE. If my significant other could find a job in CLT, we'd move there in a heartbeat. It would be a fairly easy commute for me.
