Those planes are Mesaba's as much as Pinnacle Inc's are theirs. Corp will do whatever it takes to lower the costs. If they determine that it's cheaper to pay you guys more because your health insurance is cheaper / no call in honest, you'll get the planes. If they find ours cheaper, they'll probably do the opposite.
Accusing us of being pushovers because we weren't in negotiations for 6 years.
Radio silence from your MEC would have been more prudent. It reminds me of the tension caused, for a time, by the CAL-UAL bickering...
Telling your pilots that there is nothing we will do if the company starts shifting planes without an agreement.
Of course you'll do something... fly now, grieve later... trust me, the way this company works, it'll be an uphill battle with whatever they decide to do.
Sending pm's to people saying you want the joint contract to fail because then you can take the seats and basing. Then put us on the bottom of the list.
Can't comment about that... I have personally not sent such PM's, but there are a lot of ****ed off guys here, and they're just trying to get you guys to understand. Staple isn't happening, either direction, nor do the rational ones among us want it so.
We say now isn't the right time to picket because there is progress and WE are the problem.
yeah, right...
We've had the company set TWO deadlines. Those deadlines have come and gone with no appreciable progress. Now on the verge of picketing, many more sections have been buttoned up. Coincidence? Perhaps, but interesting nonetheless.
I don't want the TA to fail, I don't want to go to PCL Section 6. Most don't. But, come Jan 1 when there's no agreement (if that's the case), and no good, effective dates to picket on, I hope we realize that we'll be waiting at least another year.
